Franklin Printing was born out of the newspaper publishing business as the in-house production facility for the Livermore Fall Advertiser and the Franklin Journal.
Joseph Nemi, the company's founder, started Nemi Publishing Inc.
In addition to printing the two newspapers, the business expanded throughout the 70's and 80's by continually increasing it's commercial printing sales.
In 1976 Joe's eldest son Greg joined the firm and learned the business from the ground up working in almost every area of the business.

Our beginnings are rooted in the world of newspaper publishing; the Franklin Journal and Livermore Falls Advertiser, both still in circulation today.
As the publishing industry evolved so did we, during the mid-1980s the newspapers were sold and so began our involvement in the offset sheet-fed market.
Today we are proud to be considered one of the most technologically advanced, high-quality printers available in New England.
We continually invest in new technology; production efficiency allows us to help customers save money and minimize environmental impact.

What does OFFSET mean?
According to the dictionary - "a method of printing in which ink is transferred from a plate or stone to a uniform rubber surface and from that to the paper."
To us it's much more.

We're print geeks.
We love the machinery, the technology, the jargon, the roar of the presses - every aspect of the job, right down to the dot structure on every page we print.
Our presses use H-UV ink.
What does the H represent? Hybrid.
You get the benefits of fast curing ink but also no VOC's and less energy consumption because our press uses fewer UV lamps than a traditional UV press.
