Dave and Dorothy Kranz moved to Monticello in 1962.
Dave followed Lynn and Margaret Smith to the Monticello Times as the newspaper's linotype operator and printer.
In 1975 they bought the printing operation from Lynn and Margaret and began operating under the name of Monticello Printing.
