In 1991, while attending Western Michigan University, Roy Gooch saw an opportunity to recycle and sell toner cartridges to help finance his college education. He opened Precision Printer Services, and for the first two years, remanufactured toner cartridges in the evenings and weekends, while during the day, attended class and cold-called to make sales.
By 1993, the business was growing rapidly so Roy, along with his wife Tricia, made the decision for Roy to make PPS his full time profession. Tricia (now COO of PPS) followed in 1997, leaving the banking industry to devote time to helping shape PPS's continuous growth. Since the very beginning, PPS has been dedicated to providing the best remanufactured toner cartridges in the country, and exceeding the needs of its customers.
This approach to quality products and service has allowed PPS to sustain steady growth and maintain customer relationships long term. In fact, over 70% of the customers that ordered in 1991 are still ordering today!
