Tomahawk Printing is a commercial printer located in downtown Wauseon, Ohio. Established in 1938 as Glanz Printing, the name was changed to Tomahawk Printing Inc. in 1980 when the business was purchased by Jerry and Lita Dehnbostel. In January of 2015, the ownership changed hands to Amy and Shawn Ferguson and renamed the company Tomahawk Printing LLC.
We strive to provide high quality printing at an affordable price. Many things have changed over the years, but our dedication to our customers and keeping up with technology has remained steadfast. With the additions of our sign/specialty shop, along with our mailing department we are your "One Stop Shop". Our dedicated staff is here to provide you with high quality print products with a smile on their face!

File Prep Tips

Due to slight shifting that occurs during printing and trimming, any artwork that is designed too close to the final trim edge is at risk of being cut off or may show inconsistent margins.
We encourage any artwork that is not intended to reach the edge of the final print be at least 1/4 to 3/8 inch away from the trim edge.
This is considered the safe area.
Margins on smaller projects such as a business card may be reduced as low as 1/8 inch if needed.
The lack of bleed is a common issue encountered by prepress operators.

If you choose to design your own files for print, it is important to understand the basic guidelines to avoid any production issues.
Before submitting your artwork we kindly ask that you review your files to ensure that they meet our guidelines for high quality color printing.
Your project will go a lot smoother and you will be much happier with the final results.
If these sizes do not match, the artwork will be distorted unless given further instructions to recreate internally.
