Services
Colonial Filings is a financial printer and EDGAR filing agent that specializes in SEC document compliance services for public companies, private companies, and mutual funds.
We are located in the downtown area of Salt Lake City and have been serving our clients since 2006.
Our parent company, Colonial Stock Transfer was founded in 1987.
When our clients started seeking EDGAR filing services, we founded Colonial Filings.
At Colonial Filings, we strive to provide the highest quality, most professional service in the industry.
The SEC has required public companies to file reports onto the EDGAR system since 1993.
To assist in that endeavor, we provide professional EDGAR filing services including conversion into HTML, XBRL, PDF and all other SEC compatible file types.
EDGAR Filings: Conversion and formatting of documents into EDGARized HTML, ASCII, and XML web-compatible formats.
Our filing packages include flat-rate unlimited filings for all of your EDGAR and XBRL forms.
XBRL Filings: Tagging of your financial statements into XBRL formats using best practices and professional service to ensure your document meets SEC standards and CPA review.
Since 1993, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has required public companies to file periodic reports on the EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, Retrieval) filing system.
Some of these reports include: annual and quarterly reports, information statements, material event filings, proxy statements, registration filings and ownership documentation.
We convert electronic and paper documents into the SEC's standard EDGAR format according to the SEC's filing rules.
The SEC requires all documents to be filed in compliant HTML and XBRL formats.
Inline XBRL (iXBRL) is an updated SEC rule to the existing eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) SEC filing requirement that allows easier machine and human readability of public company's financial data.
Inline XBRL is an updated version of XBRL formatting.
Whereas XBRL is only machine readable, and must be submitted alongside a human readable document, iXBRL embeds XBRL tags directly into a human readable document.
This makes the single iXBRL filing both machine and human readable.
Submitting financial statements in iXBRL format is expected to be more efficient than traditional filing formats and easier for investors and issuers to analyze data.
Our website development and investor website services include a number of features customized for your company's website using our proprietary technology and automation platform to ensure your data is always up to date.
Our solution is easy to use - we can integrate with any website and technology.
Our websites save valuable time and development costs in comparison to managing it on your own.
We can build your entire website from scratch with a fresh, new modern design, and robust custom features.
