EXCEPTION: Where separate raised and visual characters with the same information are provided, raised character height shall be permitted to be 1/2 inch (13 mm) minimum.
Characters shall be conventional in form.
Characters shall not be italic, oblique, script, highly decorative, or of other unusual forms.
EXCEPTION: Tactile characters for elevator car controls shall not be required to comply with 703.4.1.
Where a tactile sign is provided at double doors with one active leaf, the sign shall be located on the inactive leaf.

Changeable Letters

We sell Pronto Changeable Letters which are the best changeable letters in the industry.
That's because Pronto Changeable Letters are made from an injection molded precision blank.
Each panel is molded with a small raised edge on the back side of the letter that prevents the screen-printed ink from being scratched off as the letters are moved in and out the Pronto track.
The molded-in feet keep debris (and in cooler climates, ice) from interfering placement of the changeable copy message.
Finally, because the inks used on the Changeable Letters are UV inks (no VOCs!), there are no harmful emissions during the manufacturing process.
