About Us
Report
Roy DeVries was only 17 years old when he shook hands to buy his very first printing press, a letterpress hand-feed printer.
The printer maintains it's "front of the shop" presence in the entrance lobby.
But that purchase kick-started decades of passion for the digital printing industry, including the founding of Screen-Trans in 1985.
In the 35 years since, Screen-Trans has distinguished itself as a family-led, American-made business that produced quality and vibrant color images for fabric banners and other specialty items.
Dye-sub Printing
Report
Fabric banners made with digital sublimation are machine washable and much more wrinkle-resistant than other digital print methods, making them perfect for items being reused or cycled out with other prints.
It is a popular option for events, tradeshows, retail floors, and windows, though there are certainly many other applications.
Digital banners may also be enhanced by the addition of metallic foil in specific design areas.
In this process, Foil-On, an adhesive is screened in the design shape onto the fabric banner.
Table Screen Printing
Report
Screen printing can be an incredibly cost-effective and versatile printing process, which makes it incredibly popular for a wide variety of projects.
The technique itself includes ink that is printed to the fabric, with patterns and designs made using the work of a stencil.
At Screen-Trans, we pride ourselves on utilizing the latest equipment in printing to ensure we can quickly deliver on the needs of small and large volume screen printing orders.
We are currently capable of printing up to 58" x 68" designs and can use multiple screens for even larger projects.
In-house Finishing
Report
With a wide variety of finishing techniques, we can provide you with many ways to hang, mount, or display your graphics.
Silicone edge graphics (SEG) continue to be a hot item in today's advertising market.
We've invested heavily into semi-autonomous sewing equipment to help provide quicker turnarounds for both small and large volume jobs.
No longer are we limited to straight cuts when a sealed edge is required.
With the aid of our optical registration system, our laser cutter can produce custom contour cuts anywhere within your design.
Foil-on Accents
Report
Screen-Trans was one of the earliest innovators in the Textile Foil Application process.
In this process, Foil-On, a water-based adhesive is screened in the design shape onto the fabric banner.
When the banner is placed in contact with metallic foil and runs through a heat press, the foil becomes an integral part of the fabric banner.
Today, Screen-Trans is one of the few manufacturers in the U.S. that has the ability to apply foil in large format or on continuous yardage.
Customers may opt to use foil accents on their projects if they are looking for an easy way to grab people's attention, as the shine of the foil on a matte fabric will make the graphic stand out much more than other methods.
