Jake and Inky Knapp began their printing business in the 1960s, producing printed materials out of their garage in Woodland, California.
In 1972 they moved the company to Sacramento, California.
They opened a 2nd location in 1974 on Elm Street in Woodland.
A year later they sold the Sacramento office.
Printer's Ink was moved to its current location at 459 Cleveland Street, Woodland, California in 1988.
Jake and Inky retired in 2005, moving to a beach town in Oregon.
Their son Jerry Knapp took on the task of continuing the family business.

When Nancy allows him out of his office, Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife Brenda, playing guitar, and building Legos.
Nancy acquired printing trade skills by working in a Bay Area print shop for five years before joining the staff of Printer's Ink in 1989.
She can create professional looking printed products to promote your business that are creative and visually appealing.
