Norfolk Printing Company is the oldest commercial print shop in Norfolk still operating under its original name.
Founded in 1932 by Al Leibowitz, Norfolk Printing Company first opened its doors on Plume Street where the fountain exists today.
In 1965, the shop moved to 805 Granby Street where it has remained since.
Ownership was passed on to Michael Phelps in 1981, who still operates the business today.
The print business has evolved since 1932, from pain-staking letterpress equipment to high speed offset, to the new digital age.

Generally, PDFs are the best at keeping the highest quality and maintaining the file's proper format.
For example, if we were given a Word file, it may look fine on your computer, but could look different on ours.
Text and images may shift around or fonts may not be the same.
Typically, we ask that the bleed is at least 0.125.
If you have a print job that is 8.5" x 11", adding a 0.125" bleed on all edges would make the artwork be 8.75" x 11.25".
