Located in the heart of Midtown we are an independently owned and operated digital print shop serving local businesses, restaurants, law firms, nightclubs, government agencies, art galleries, theaters, manufacturers, media groups, schools and the health care industry. Serious skills, excellent quality & fair pricing. The Floppy's staff has a combined 40 years of digital print/copy experience and we have been located at the same location at 21st and J for 18 years.
The vast range of our customers' needs require that we know how to efficiently produce 300 page tabbed binders as well as limited-edition color prints. The Midtown gumbo of nightclub posters, business proposals, band flyers, marketing collateral, restauraunt menus, and product brochures keeps us on our toes. Nationally we have been selected several times by out of state companies to handle their print requirements for conferences in Sacramento.
One of those companies is based in London, England.

If you don't already have a print ready file we can create your flyer, business card, etc.
When you provide us with the files of the words, pictures, fonts and logos you want to use, on average you are looking at $15 to $30 of work to put it all together.
After we've done the layout you approve a proof on all new pieces before we print them.
So, if you are not providing us with a print-ready PDF of the piece please do allow some extra time for us to build the file and go through the proof process with you.

File Prep
Report
Many of the files we receive are the right size and resolution and print beautifully.
Many are not.
The two most frequent problems we run into are files that are the wrong size and files that do not have bleed when they need them.
Here's what you need to know about bleed.
Most of the time we can identify files that will not work and we will contact you so that you can send a revised file that will print correctly.
A good rule of thumb is that to print well a file must be 150 lines per inch at size.

What is Bleed
Report
Borderless printing requires bleed.
Bleed is a printing term that describes a document which has images or elements that touch the edge of the page, extending beyond the trim edge and leaving no white margin.
When a document has bleed, it must be printed on a larger sheet of paper and then trimed down.
The example shows how a document should be set up with bleed.
This is the way you must set up your document if you intend to have graphics that extend all the way to the edges of the cut item.
The example uses a business card, however the same principle and measurements apply to a document of any size.
