Where it all began.
With Miles A. Dean.
Miles was raised on a farm just outside of Wendell, North Carolina.
He attended Wendell High School, later Vaiden Whitley High School, where he graduated in 1968.
He received a Golf Scholarship to attend Atlantic Christian College, in Wilson, where he received his BS Degree in Health, P.E. and Science.
After college, he came back to his hometown to teach and coach in the Wake County School System.
After marrying his college sweetheart, Lee Mcgonigal in 1974, Miles and a close friend opened a sporting goods store in downtown Wendell called D&S Sports.
