Artist Proofs are a small number of prints, usually no more than 10% of the edition size, set aside for the artist's use.
Traditionally, these were the first prints off the press, the best quality copies, and were used to approve color consistency for the rest of the printing.
With modern offset printing and giclee (digital) methods however, artist proofs are now of the same quality as the standard edition prints, and are published only as part of the print making tradition.

Art Studio and Gallery
Report
This spacious and modern two story office condominium functions as both the artist's exhibition gallery and his working studio.
Since purchasing the space, (located on Route Three, three miles east of West Chester in Westtown, Chester County) Nick holds most of his shows in studio, affording him more time to work on his art.
But busy as he is, Nick loves having friends and clients stop by.
Since he splits his time between on-site and studio work, his hours tend to be unpredictable, therefore it's best to call first before stopping in.
