
The studio offers community-based access to materials, facilities and technical support for relief and intaglio printing, lithography and screenprinting as well as digital printing services. All appointments are booked by appointment through info@artistsimageresource.org. Appointments are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and are generally booked one week after the receipt of project information and materials.
AIR provides access to rotating exhibitions and presentations of AIR project work and the work of partners and others. We also can provide access to AIR's archive of prints for sale. Artists Image Resources (AIR) is an artist run, non-profit print and imaging organization established in 1996 to serve as a laboratory for artists, educators and the community.
AIR's mission is to integrate the creation of fine art prints with educational programs that explore the role of the artist in contemporary culture.
AIR's primary activities are to initiate and facilitate projects with professional artists and to create active laboratory environments where artists, students and the public interact.

Artists Image Resources (AIR) was established in 1996, was incorporated as a nonprofit Pennsylvania Corporation in 1997 and received nonprofit 501(c) 3 tax status in 1998.
In 1996, AIR started working with professional artists on projects and began to organize resources in a 10,000 square foot space in an urban neighborhood on the North Side of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
In 1996 and 1997, AIR began working with university educators to design programs that would allow the aspiring artist to work directly, hand in hand, with the professional artist in an active real world studio environment.

AIR prints fine art archival prints from an Epson 9890 printer using a variety of archival substrates.
The printer prints up to 42" x 80" (plus).
Pricing is calculated based on square footage of media leaving the printer, the substrate used, and the complexity of the image preparation.
Square foot pricing anticipates minimal prep and color testing.
If image prep and manipulation exceed this allowance (15 minutes) Tech Time will be added.
Papers leave the printer at standard sizes, trimming and Finishing services are billed separately.

AIR estimates projects based on engineering and processing costs, print set up, proofing and editioning costs.
Generally, for all other processes, each color printed requires some sort of film positive or mylar.
